Planning: Mise-en-Scene - Costume

The song we are using, 'Boys and Girls' is all about boys and girls going out and partying. We have come up with the idea of dressing our artist as a boy in parts of the music video which is an original and interesting idea. Famous people like Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey have been known for doing such things which caused a lot of media attention. This is good for an artist and their brand image as it gains a lot of media attention. 
We have been inspired by the latest range in River Island where at the moment, it is 'fashionable' to dress like a boy. We particularly like the look of wearing a blazer as it gives a masculine look to a girl without losing femininity, it is also very stylish which follows our brand image (young, sexy and fun). 

Another inspiration for our artist's look has been taken from the shop Next. The look of pink skinny jeans with a blazer would be a great look for the music video as it goes well with the narrative of the song. The pink jeans fit in well with the 'girly' side to the song and the blazer gives a masculine look to it which also fits in well with the boy theme of our artist's image.
