Here is the current UK Top 40 singles chart from Radio 1. As you can see the current number one song is in the pop genre. This is followed by a majority of the songs also being in the pop genre (around 10 out of 17). This proves that our genre is proven to be popular therefore will fit into the market.
The pop genre is also proven to be popular in the album charts on Radio 1. The number one artist/album is also from the pop genre.
Our genre of pop is mainstream because it dominates the music industry and the charts. This clearly proves that our product/artist will fit well into the market and sell.
